El pasado jueves 29 de agosto, el Aula Magna Manuel José Irarrázaval de la Casa Central de la Universidad Católica (UC) fue el escenario del seminario titulado "Apoyo y Rechazo a la Ultraderecha en Argentina, Brasil y Chile".
La presentación del estudio estuvo a cargo de Cristóbal Rovira, académico y coordinador del estudio, quien ofreció un análisis detallado de los patrones de apoyo y rechazo a la ultraderecha en estos tres países sudamericanos.
El evento, organizado por el Instituto de Ciencia Política de la Facultad de Historia, Geografía y Ciencia Política de la UC en colaboración con la Fundación Friedrich Ebert en Chile, comenzó a las 9:30 a.m.
El seminario contó con los comentarios de la ex Presidenta Michelle Bachelet y fue moderada por la periodista Paula Escobar.
El estudio aborda, entre otros temas, el hallazgo de que un tercio del electorado en Argentina, Brasil y Chile apoya a la ultraderecha, mientras que un 60% se manifiesta en contra. A pesar del ascenso de esta corriente en la región, el análisis revela diferencias significativas en el perfil sociodemográfico de sus seguidores y detractores, así como un patrón ideológico que une a los votantes ultraderechistas en estos países.
